If the application of Mr. Johnson to be naturalised had been made in the usual way, it should probably have passed without remark. But he is going to reside in the neighbouring Colony, and the question arises whether there is any reason why this man should not be naturalized under section 7 of the Naturalization Act 1870, provided that the documents forwarded herewith furnish such evidence of his intention to serve under the Crown in future as the S.of S. may require.
